First, insert the adapter into one of your Mac’s USB ports. Once it is connected, plug the 3.5mm audio plug from your headphones into the other end of the adapter. You may have to adjust some settings on your computer before it will recognize and use your headphones correctly.
Go to System Preferences > Sound and select Headphones as both input and output devices from their respective menus. Locate the headphone jack on your Mac computer.Your Mac should now be able to send sound through these headphones when plugged in using this adapter. This is typically located at the side or back of your laptop, and looks like a circle with small headphones icon next to it.
